About 3 yrs ago I decided on Dr Patel as my Primary Care Physician and I wish I could say I've enjoyed the experience. I've been quite healthy and had no reason to go in until recently. That's when he said that since he hadn't seen me in about a year that he couldn't be responsible for my health, in essence, he fired me as his patient. Another time he asked me who my Primary Care doctor was. Then when I did have something come up and needed his advice I was told by his staff he couldn't see me until later the following week and that I should go to ER for treatment. When I brought in the results from ER, Dr Patel looked them over and didn't say anything about the findings or really anything at all. The results coincided with my pre-op exam for oral surgery and the staff asked me which one I wanted for that day because I couldn't have both. I've been made to feel like I'm a burden, a bother and that I do things wrong like not going in to see the doctor when there's nothing wrong.

My experience is outstanding from office starting with Elise and right up to Dr. Mayur Patel himself. He recently worked with my father at St. Joe's Hospital and he went way above and beyond the call of duty for him. We had a very bad experience with the hospital case worker and Dr. Patel jumped right in and called our insurance carrier himself and took charge. The personal touch that he showed not only that day, but days to follow, without going into too much detail was in my opinion very kind compassionate and unexpected. These days you are not able to find this personal touch, it is not out there for any services that are in the health care industry. When the ball was dropped by the hospital, he called us on his day off to make sure that our problem got resolved. The gentle care that he gave my father who is 96 was touching to us. He never made my sister or I feel like we were imposing on his time. I personally am going to use him as primary Dr. going forward, I feel confident I will be in good hands. I have so much more to say, but the most important is, our experience was outstanding and I hope this will assist you in making yours.

This is a very unprofessional doctor practice. The staff is extremely lazy and claims their scanner doesn’t work so they can’t email documents. I had to call 3 times to get an order sent to Quest Diagnostics and it was never sent. Dr.Patel does not really take that much time with patients. I mentioned an issue with my arm and he shrugged it off. Later I got a second opinion and found out I had a very serious condition causing the pain. He is only looking for a quick Buck and does not actually care about his patients. Maybe the rich ones. Not sure. I would NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Dr. Mayur Patel and his staff were warm and welcoming throughout my entire care experience. Their team always felt accessible and I appreciated the professionalism throughout our many conversations over the phone and in-person. This meant the world to me as my family and I navigated a very stressful time in my personal health. Dr. Patel was quick to assess, act, and recognized when I needed unique care. He personally made the calls and requests to connect me with a specialist. I felt supported by his staff as we navigated the the complicated HMO referral process. A special thank you to Elyse for her time navigating communication between complicated virtual systems and a new medical group to get me the care I needed. THANK YOU, Dr. Patel, Elyse and Elizabeth. I am on my way to better health thanks to all of you!

After almost coming close to death (fell in the bathtub and couldn’t get out for 19 hours) I was at St Joesphs hospital for 5 days. Dr Patel came to see me one time only. He was suppose to be my main doctor. The heart Dr was excellent and spent time talking with me. Patel didn’t
really even speak to me His assistant came twice and I couldn’t understand anything she said. I was sent home with my elbows still bleeding and not treated. My son called the Dr and he never called him back. Dr Patel was truly the worst. He made my nightmare experience even more painful.

I would avoid Dr Patel if possible. Although the office staff are friendly, the atmosphere is a bit chaotic. There is no follow up on obtaining hospital records and Dr Patel doesn’t seem to be concerned that he isn’t aware of my medical history. Actually, he spent all of about 3 or 4 minutes with me. The rest of the time I was attempting to communicate with his physician’s assistant. Dr Patel appeared to be uninterested in listening and quickly left the room.

Dr Patel has been my primary care physician for 18 yrs he is an excellent Doctor and has taken care of my entire family for years. He has been my husbands doctor for 20 years and my sons doctor for 10 years Caring, Professional and always has the time and patience to explain things to you and offer options he always returns calls and has time for his patients. The BEST! A truly caring doctor. I’ve referred many friends to Dr. Patel and they are all grateful for his amazing care. He works so well with other specialists and is always willing to listen. My whole family considers him a real blessing in our lives, he has gotten us through
