La Mordida over in Clearwater serves both Colombian and Peruvian food. Usually, when a place tries to do two cuisines at once, it doesn't turn out that well. That's not the case here. This is easily my favorite Colombian spot since moving here from South Florida, and I've tried quite a few in the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, and Pinellas county area.

I started off with some tequeños, and though they only came with three, they're huge and freshly baked. So good. I also had the tiger's milk ceviche, and that was phenomenal. For my main course, I had the Aji de Gallina--a chicken dish with a Peruvian cream sauce and shredded chicken. Oh my god, it was phenomenal. My colleague had the Bandeja Paisa, and I tried a bit of everything on that plate. It was fantastic as well.

To drink, I had a margarita and a cafe con leche. The margarita was large, strong, and very good, and the cafe con leche was also large and strong. The staff was super nice and accommodating. They even gave me a free dessert with my coffee, which was a great little surprise.

Overall, this place is great. It's big and spacious inside, the food is awesome, and it's a good time all around. I'm very picky when it comes to Colombian and Peruvian food, and this place nails it. You won't be disappointed!

It's one of the best Spanish restaurants in Clearwater . This gem has every spice and Spanish flare you’re looking for. With prices right in the middle, you get what you pay. The food and drinks are top tier. This is my family to go restaurant when it’s time to celebrate any event. Customer services are phenomenal! I will recommend the bartender Andrea she is awesome ? 100%

Great food and service!! Our server was very friendly and helped us Latin food noobies by showing us what was popular and what she recommended. I’m so glad she recommended the causa limena appetizer!! It looks tiny but it is a good size. My husband and I shared it and thoroughly enjoyed. It has a generous amount of what’s similar to chicken salad on the top and has a twangy citrous flavor.
David’s seafood was good and has lots and lots of seafood for the price, I mean the seafood is all throughout and buried, but I kind of tired of all of it being the same flavor. Not a bad flavor just not my favorite. If I went back, I would probably get the chaufa rice with steak, chicken, and eggs.
Not pictured were the empanadas. Very good!! We tried one of each. The chicken I think was our favorite. The little salsa dip they give you was so twangy and fantastic!

The cheese in our food was flavorless and all stuck together in stiff clumps. The ground beef was hard n flavorless n flat...most likely in frozen rolls before cooking. The coleslaw was overly sweet and there was a mound of Lays potato chips in both dishes which didnt add to any flavor n was way overly done...mounds! The corn tops n bottoms had zero flavor or smell of corn at all. The quality of both dishes is something you would feed to a small child who doesnt know any better. Heavy on mustard and other sauces. We didnt eat much but paid quite a bit for our meals & my stomach is NOT happy now. Im drinking water to drown out the heaviness of all of that. The music was like being in a loud party. I havent made a food review in a long time, but this was SO bad...i had to. We will never come back.

Great place for a breakfast unique to the area. Good location, great food and amazing service. Be sure to get there early enough for breakfast!
