If you have any sort of gastric issue, Dr. Douglas is the only one to see. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, thorough and patient. He takes his time to explain, listens to everything and asks all pertinent questions. In addition, he works with other doctors should the need arise and is diligent about getting tests run and read on time. His office manager Sandy is also amazing. She is efficient, friendly and helpful in explaining exactly how their office works - no surprises. They are the best.

I cannot review the doctor as his office secretary has been so rude and condescending from my initial request to set up an appointment with Dr Brian Douglas last week, I have no intention of following up with an appointment.
She was very fast spoken and abrupt with me in my first call. She still had me on the books and pointed out I had not seen Dr Douglas since 1997 and sarcastically explained the referral process to me before I could even tell her that I’d been informed by my insurance that the referral had been approved. I supposed that there must have been some confusion between my health insurance and Village Medical’s referral department so I called them and was given the standard answer that it would be 3-5 days to process after receiving approval from my health insurance. I called Village Medical again, a few days later, and was assured by them that it had been processed so I called the Doctor’s office again. This time the secretary was worse and I actually told her to “chill and please not to speak to me that way”. I gave it a week and called Village Medical’s Referral department again and they assured me that they’d sent the fax out yesterday.
So I called once more today and she just shouted me down again that it had to be a referral with the correct information. I explained I’d called VM twice now for clarification. She just repeated it needed to have the legitimate information and sarcastically wished me a good day. I didn’t even get a chance to ask if she had in fact received a fax and what was incorrect. Surely it was her job to contact them and ask for the correct information whatever that might be? Unbelievable behaviour.
I didn’t return to Dr Brian Douglas in 1997 because his manner had been patronizing and rude but he did diagnose my condition before anyone else had become aware so I was giving him a second chance all these years later. Given my experience with his front desk , I won’t be giving Dr Douglas my business no matter how accomplished he may be.

Dr Douglas and Sandy are both nice and I think I’ve been there 4 or 5 times every time I’ve been brought back timely for my scheduled appointment. I’m having a hard time getting diagnosed with whatever’s going on but I appreciate Dr Douglas to continue to order tests, show interest, and talk through my symptoms.

Dr. Douglas is one of the most genuinely caring doctors I've ever known. He listens, explains and treats his patients with a well planned treatment tailored to the individual. I highly recommend him for you, your family and friends. He's simply the best!

Just got off the phone with Sandy, who is the Office Manager for Dr. Brian Douglas, and was highly disappointed, that she was so rude, unprofessional, disrespectful to a Senior Citizen, of which I am. My son was referred by his St. Luke, the Woodlands, Tx. Physician, to see a Gastroenterology, in the Baylor College of Medicine Family.
Well, make no mistake, we did not feel welcome, even after my son, nicely tried to ask Sandy why she needed so many non medical questions, answered, before even sitting an appointment.
When I attempted to speak with Sandy, myself,
as the mother to the patient, she rudely, cut me off, complained that their office would not be a good fit for my son and family, and that she was not going nowhere, because she has been there for a while, so it would be best for us, to take our business, elsewhere.
If you like cure, demeaning, rude, treatment, then by all means go to this office. I cannot give a good review of the Doctor, because his insubordinate, unprofessional, front office help, barred us the service. I feel discriminated against because I am Elderly, and Sandy, rudely tossed the telephone down in my face.
My suggestion is if Baylor St. Luke Medical Center cannot provide better front Office Representation, and they are so secured in their jobs, that they can boldly tell a future patient to go elsewhere, then they do not need your business. Why is Dr. Brian Douglas still in business, after 47 years, giving jobs to people like Sandy, who is clearly damaging his good name.
When you see this office, RUN, RUN, RUN, and say yourself a Telephone Being Tossed in YOUR FACE!!!
This is ABUSE to the ELDERLY!!! Shame on you, Baylor and Dr. Douglas for employing such demeaning help, like Office Manager, Sandy!!!!! A One was the Lowest I could give or I would have given a ZERO!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would. Manners are something I guess he has never had. He came in diagnosed me with no tests not listening to anything I had to say. Total waste of money and getting my hopes up with having someone listen to my situation.
